Named for the waterfall that crosses Gatta Farm, Gatta Gold comes from the heart of Shantawene Village in Sidama, Ethiopia. The farm sits within a natural forest surrounded by rivers, waterfalls, and indigenous trees more than 100 years old, which provide natural shade for its heirloom coffee plants.
 
Local residents handle much of the planting, harvesting, and processing, while many women contribute through quality control and processing work. The farm also supports the community through fair wages, training, and employment opportunities.
 
Gatta Gold is honey processed, meaning the coffee cherries are pulped and dried with some of the fruit’s natural, sticky layer still on the bean. No honey is added; this method helps create a smooth sweetness, balanced acidity, and notes of jasmine, toffee, caramel, and fruit.
